I am currently attending the Guildhall at SMU and studying Art Creation for video games. I have worked as 3D modeler using the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) on a team 3D game project for school and am also currently working as a 3D modeler for a larger 3D game project. I am skilled in modeling high poly and low poly game-ready 3D assets (specializing in hard-surface objects), unwrapping, creating texture maps, building material shaders in both UDK and CryENGINE 3 SDK, and designing model sheets for a variety of assets. I worked as a contract junior artist at Zynga, creating 3d models that were rendered out for 2D assets in the game, "Castleville".
I served 13 years in the United States Army and earned the rank of Sergent. I was a mechanic and crewchief for the 1-147th's UH-60M Blackhawk helicopter unit for six years in the Wisconsin National Guard, and also served four years as a full-time civilian helicopter mechanic supporting the 1-147th's Blackhawk fleet. After returning from a 16 month deployment, I decided to persue my dream of working in the game industry and returned to school. My expected graduation date from the Guildhall is May 2012.
Outside of video gaming and aviation, I love to snowboard, CrossFit, and enjoy the outdoors!
